9th Agers had fun creating French restaurants, complete with menus in French, food cutouts, decorations and props from home, and restaurant signs. Customers and the waiting staff spoke in French as food and drink orders were given and delivered. And, just like in Europe, euros were used to pay for the delicious meals.

Creative Learning
9th Agers have recently begun a new fun class project. In groups of three and four, students are creating a French café complete with menus and signs in French. When ready, they will open up their restaurant to other French students who will become their customers, order food from their menus, and pay with euros. All conversations will be conducted in French. Stay tuned for more to come.

Playing With Money
8th Agers have been having fun playing with money - play money, that is. They have been learning about the euro, the currency of seventeen countries that are part of the European Union. Euros come in paper and coin form. The paper euros are very colorful and come in different sizes and amounts. There are also one and two euro coins, as well as six other types of coins called cents.
Students have been practicing with play euros to pay for "food" that they order in class from various French menus.
