Painting Like Georges

French Club members are so creative! This week, they chose their favorite French monument to paint in the style of French painter, Georges Seurat.
Seurat's unique style of painting with dots, known as Pointillism, was replicated by the students.
Here are samples of their mini masterpieces, now on display in the Lower School Lobby.

Spring Break French

Upon returning from Spring Break, students were asked if they had experienced anything French. Here are some of their responses:

Went to Paris
Ate a croissant
Ate two croissants
Ate a baguette
Heard "Bon Voyage" as cruise ship casted off
Recognized paintings by Georges Seurat and Henri Rousseau at the MOMA, in NYC
Had dinner at Petit Louis
Went to Pâtisserie Poupon Bakery
Heard people speaking French on the beach
Saw a Matisse painting in Florida
Ate a crêpe

Vive le Français!
